Still Clapping
It’s been exactly a month since I got the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album and it’s still on very heavy rotation. According to iTunes, I’ve listened to the song The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth 108 times. Spread over 31 days, that’s nearly 3½ listens per day. Not too shabby. Here’s my Top 25 Most Played playlist from iTunes (click for full-size version):
The album’s only $11.99 at Insound, and you’re gonna have to buy it if you want to figure out any of the lyrics.

Totally agree. What a great album. By the way, I love the site design here, and your flickr photos.

That track is the f’n best. I pump my fist or tap and always annoy the wife when that song hits the Harmon Kardon’s….
My top five iTunes listens happen to be (or so they say):
1. Twillight Creeps by Crooked Fingers
2. Tree Tops (Demo) by Eisley
3. The Battle for Straight Time by AC Newman
4. The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth by Clap Your Hands Say Bologna
5 Back to Boston by The Rosebuds

I used to turn the stereo down when that song came on, so as not to annoy L, but lately she’s been snapping along and doing a little David Byrne dance whenever she hears it. It’s infectious.

All this Clap Your Hands hoo-ha has ended your 6 month reign as my #1 Audioscrobbler Musical Neighbor. If you hope to regain the title, you’ll wanna start rocking to Wolf Parade and Wilderness.
