Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
I’ve been listening to this album all morning day week. You should be listening to it too.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
That guy’s voice is soooo hard to get used to. The jury is still out for me. I see they are playing a show with Dirty on Purpose, who I do enjoy.

Yeah, Clap Yer hands… is ok, but the vocals are so tiring. I think… no me gusta.

An unusual voice isn’t usually a deal-breaker for me. Actually, thinking about it, most of my favorite bands have less-than-Buckley-ish lead singers: the Walkmen, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Arcade Fire (on their EP especially), Joanna Newsom — my god, Joanna Newsom, the Decemberists, the Mountain Goats, and on and on.
That Clap Your Hands… song The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth is probably the most exciting song I’ve heard this year, and I’m still listening to the album on repeat like some kind of compulsive.

i’ve also been enjoying CYHSY lots lately… if you enjoy atypical vocal stylings, you should check out the most serene republic. they’ve been described as postal service meets broken social scene… regardless, they are really fun.

Never heard of them. I’ll have to check them out. Thanks, Anne.

For further leaps in vocal stylings may I recommend myself singing over Michael Bolton midi files in the shower.
“I’ll take the physical challenge!”

I would listen to Clap your hand and say Yeah, but there’s this mp3 of nails on chalkboards that I’ve really been digging lately. Zing!

I’ve been listening to a lot of L Mix R as well! Double Zing!

Holy cow Jim, where did you find that song?
Comment by Feaverish — June 29, 2005 @ 9:38 pm
Michael Bolton find you, my friend. Bolton finds you… and when he does, you just run with it.

Eat poop and die and go to hell! Triple zing!
Just kidding, of course.
