Pierce: I like the Milk Hotel. They have an accordion. And yes, it is more bloggy, which I’m not happy about. But sometimes I just want to post a little blurb in lieu of the multi-paragraph epics I usually write. But then there’s a lot of whitespace and in Safari the sidebar goes off the “page” and it all just looks crappy. So maybe with three or so entries per page it’ll work better. I’m just trying it out. Pictures of cat forthcoming.
Are you kidding? Jeff Mangum is a musical genius. You can honestly listen to In the Aeroplane over the Sea and not be moved? Unfortunate… It’s probably in my top 20 all time records. When I first heard that record I was floored. Well at least Feaverish readers have now upped Jeff Mangum up to 50-50 status.
I also found the new Decemberists and they are amazing. I’m only on track 8 now, but good stuff. Oh Soulseek, thank you.
The key there, Jim, is “honestly listen to In the Aeroplane over the Sea...” Slippers rarely “honestly listens” to music that doesn’t meet his strict requirements: i.e. music that doesn’t instantly sound like U2, Willie Nelson, or the Pixies. (We’re old friends, so I can insult him tell it like it is). Aeroplane… is one of my Top 20 albums as well.
All right, here’s the real truth: when I first met Feav back in 95, he was like a poor, confused puppy, listening to Hootie & the Blowfish, The Eagles, Petra, and Pirates of the Mississippi. If I hadn’t opened his mind to world beyond commercial radio, he wouldn’t be quite the indie rock snob he is today. So, you’re very welcome. Check out my audioscrobbler page for evidence of my “narrow” taste in music.
What the deuce kind of a headline is that?

I dislike Neutral Milk Hotel. Are you making fun of them? Cos if you are, then that’s good.
This site seems to be reverting to the standard blog template. Where’s the pictures of your cat?

What channels does one walk in to score the forthcoming Decemberists album? They are by my favorite American band and I need this album ASAP.

2 out of 3 Feaverish readers agree: The Neutral Milk Hotel are not good. And the headline still seems pretty arbitrary.

I love that story. Okay, okay, settle down. No more making fun of Slippers…
