At the Coffee Shop
I got to the front of the line and ordered the last chocolate croissant.
“Damn it,” said the man in line behind me.
“Sorry,” I shrugged, “It’s for a pretty girl.”
He raised an eyebrow skeptically. “How pretty?”
“Like, you need special glasses to look directly at her.”
He laughed, “Right. Like an eclipse.”
“Exactly.”
“Or Beowulf 3D,” said the woman in line behind us.
