I stopped by the student store yesterday for some black CDs, and lo and behold what did I find in the bargain software bin but a brand new copy of Aperture for $50! Remember when it was $500? Yikes. Time to take some pictures.
It’s version 1, but Software Update brought it up to 1.1.2. And so far it hasn’t been slow for me at all. I’ve only been messing around with my camera’s 4 megapixel photos, but it’s very snappy. I’m running it on my Intel iMac (2GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, ATI X1600 video card with 256MB VRAM). It’s a Universal Binary.
What version? I’ve heard on the grapevine that 1.0 is a bit buggy. And slow, unless you have booty-load of RAM and a potent video card.
Let me know where I can find a bargain bin copy of Final Cut Pro Studio. :-]
